Phased array hardware
AVEC, Inc. has developed a phased array system that eliminates the high cost usually associated with multiple sensor measurements without sacrificing the quality of the results. This system is easy to assemble and operate and can be fully customized to fit your specific needs.
The turn-key system includes all the components to get you from measurement to reports in no time. With the full system, you receive: microphones, supporting structure, cables, signal conditioning, anti-aliasing filters, data acquisition system, a PC workstation and processing/analysis/reporting software (see section below).
Besides the standard 63-channel system, AVEC’s modular design offers the capability of fitting your specific needs with regard to the size of the array and/or the number of channels. Our team of experts will make sure that all your requirements are satisfied.

Phased array Software
As a perfect complement to the array system, AVEC has developed high-end phased array processing software. The software is divided in three main modules:
Array design: in this module you will have acces to a powerful tool to help you design your own array. The array response, signal-to-noiise ratio and resolution as a function of frequency are available to you in just a few seconds. This module is a perfect tool for learning or teaching the basics of phased array.
Array simulation: this feature will let you simulate different sources to help you understand how arrays work or simply to see what you would expect in your experimental testing.
Data processing and analysis: this module is the core of the AVEC software. Its ease of use and unmatched processing speed will increase your productivity while providing you with high quality results. Such results can be analyzed as conventional phased array results using contour plots or our photo interface that will show the results overlaid to a picture of the system being studied. Among its many features, its unique automatic report generation will give you professional looking results in no time, giving you more time to focus on analyzing data.
