Dr. Patricio Ravetta (Chief Research Engineer)

Dr. Ravetta received his Ph.D. at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Virginia Tech co-chaired by Professors R. Burdisso and W. Ng. His dissertation work focused in the noise measurement and control of landing gear noise using microphone phased array technologies. In his work he developed a new beamforming post-processing technique to perform array deconvolution, i.e. to remove array effects/sidelobes from phased array measurements. During his research at Virginia Tech, Dr. Ravetta has developed beamforming and integration codes, designed arrays, and performed experiments in the VT Stability wind tunnel. Dr. Ravetta joined AVEC in 2005 as Research Engineer.
